Check Every Shade brings melanoma education directly to Black communities through interactive booths at health fairs, wellness events, and other community gatherings. We make it easier to learn about melanoma, recognize changes in your skin, and understand how to protect your skin because melanoma can affect every shade.

What we do
We meet people where they are. Through interactive booths at community health and wellness events, Check Every Shade shares easy-to-understand information about melanoma warning signs, skin checks, sun protection, and when to talk to a healthcare professional. We partner with AIM at Melanoma and the Skin of Color Society to provide trusted educational materials that make melanoma education more visible, approachable, and relevant to Black communities.
